Hi, I'm CHRIS MILLER, founder of BeeKing's and like you...I've always been a bit fascinated and nervous around honey bees. Try as I might, I categorized all "stinging insects" together in my mind. Which is why when I first took a side job helping design labels for a retired beekeeper in our church, my wife laughed at me.

I made sure to keep my distance when he tended to the hives. it was part of the deal. but the bees had other plans for me.

i would watch from a distance as he cracked each hive open and the energy from within the box of bees burst into the air around him. to my surprise, it wasn't an angry energy...it was a organized, soothing movement of life that hinted at a deeper understanding between the keeper and the hive. to put it simply...it was magic.

I quickly learned that the bees had a treasure that went far beyond the many varieties of raw honey they had harvested.
